Charts with nothing to install and nothing to keep in step
A desktop program has to be installed once and then kept current, and it has to match the operating system it runs on. The browser platform removes both obligations: the page is loaded fresh each time it is opened, so there is no version on the device that could fall behind, and no compatibility check to pass before a chart appears. A tablet, an older machine or a computer somebody else configured all reach the same login screen.
Local time in the Emirates is UTC+4, which places the European open around the middle of the day and the North American open in the early evening. The moments when a chart is worth a look tend to arrive inside a busy stretch of hours rather than at a planned time, and opening a tab is proportionate to a two-minute check in a way that installing and configuring a program is not.
